How to set up the abandoned cart CRM
The abandoned cart CRM can be targeted at customers who visited a specified number of days ago and got far enough for us to know them but did not finalize the order. As an additional filter, you can exclude people who have bought recently so as not to overwhelm already loyal customers.
Begin by Logging In to the Web Portal and find the Customer Relations Menu where you can load Emails and Letters.
Click the red +New Email\Letter button then, select the Customer - Abandoned Cart Email data set and click Continue.
In the Days After Abandoned Cart field put how many days after the customer left their cart you would like to reach out. After 30 days the system no longer holds information on abandoned orders so your window is 1 to 30 with 1 being the recommended value.
The Days For Order Lookback field is a filter for people who have recently completed an order. Anyone who has purchased as recently as your value here will not be emailed when they abandon a cart. Click Accept to move to crafting the email that will be sent and use the Edit Target Audience button to return to these options.
With your parameters set the next step is to craft the email these customers will receive when they fall within those settings. Use the variable bubbles below the email body to have the system pull in that information by clicking them.
Now that your email is ready you can use the Preview Audience button to see who will receive it based on your filters. This window may be empty if you have no recent customers who left a cart but it will still fire when future customers meet those conditions.
Once you are finished you can either save this email with the Save Changes or send it using the Send button on the bottom menu bar. The Preview button on this same bar will show what this email will look like once a customer receives it but only if you have someone in your preview audience at this time.
To automate this email so the system can handle when to send it based on all of your settings contact your support rep at support@agiletix.com and let them know you are ready to activate your cart abandonment email. They will let you know when that has been completed or if they require any additional information from you before flipping that switch.
