Double Feature 1-Show Setup Double Feature 2-Show Setup

A double feature is a two-for-one bundle originating from the debut of nickelodeons in the early twentieth century. You can set up this classic ticket deal in two ways, depending on how you want to track its gross revenue. If you need to report double-feature films separately to distributors, jump to Double Feature 2-Show Setup. If you can report the films as one unit, jump to Double Feature 1-Show Setup.

Double Feature 1-Show Setup

Double Features can also use one Show as a simple container for both films.

Set up 1 Show. Add signage so customers know what they are signing up for.

Set up 1 Showing with the runtime and inventory of both films combined.
Set its pricing to the full price of the Double Feature.

Set the film on sale like any other film.

Double Feature 2-Show Setup

Double Feature 2-Show setup bundles two films together with an assignment policy. This makes it easier to brand and track each half of the double feature. This also gives you the option to sell individual tickets for either film.

First, set up 2 Shows.

Give them unique distributor settings if you need to report their revenue.
The first showing's pricing should equal the total price of the double-feature bundle:

If you need to report the first film's revenue as if it were a single ticket, adjust its Fair Market Value so it equals the cost of one ticket:

Make note of the Pricing & Inventory Tier Name and Ticket Type/Name before moving on to the second showing.

Set up the second showing. To ensure only customers who purchase the bundle get this price, set this ticket's price to $0.00 and Restrict it. If necessary, you can adjust the Fair Market Value like you did for the first showing.

Open the first showing and click Edit Admission Tier. Then, click “Assignment Policy.”

From there, click Add New Assignment Policy

Set Ticket Type to Any.

Assign an Initial Quantity of 1

Set Additional Quantity to 1

Take care to enable your Box Office and Web Online Sales channels. These boxes can be easy to miss, but your assignment policy will not be available without them.

Click the drop-down under Event to search for the second half of the double feature using its Event Name, Tier, and Ticket Type.

Click Accept.

Click Save Changes.

Now, set both films on sale and add the first film's ticket to your cart to see if policy is working as intended.

You should see two tickets in your cart when you click Click Proceed to Checkout.. If you do not see two tickets, double-check your ticket and assignment policy's sales channels and make sure ticket types and tier names match up.
